The 2026 Beaver Automotive Scholarships – Check Presentation Ceremony was held in Beaver Toyota of Cumming’s showroom on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Beaver Toyota and Beaver Mazda were honored to represent Beaver Automotive in celebrating this momentous occasion. Six of the eight scholarship recipients attended with family and personal guests joining them. Patrick Abad, General Manager of Beaver Toyota of Cumming, addressed the group and emphasized how proud Beaver is of each student being one of the inaugural recipients of our scholarship program — and thanked them for all they had accomplished in their high school journeys. Dr. Mitch Young, Superintendent of Forsyth County Schools, also spoke to the group, reminding the recipients to never forget their family, where they came from, and what got them to this day. Mike Valdes, Chairman of the Board of Education, congratulated the recipients on this tremendous achievement. Sue Whitfield, Director of Community Partnerships for Beaver Toyota & Mazda, provided a high-level summary of each recipient — including prior accomplishments, current work status, hobbies, and future plans. Each recipient was presented with a “big check” as a token of this special occasion.
